CD4 - CAPE TOWN: SA VAT Act & Exports plus the UCR system

To find out how to provisionally book, or if you need a quote, click on the red “how to book” tab, above, or capture your email in the right-hand panel to initiate the pro-forma process.

This is a full-day, compact 7-hour course covering the complexities of the New Export Regulation R.316 with regard to exporting from SA, as well as the fundamentals of zero-rated export supplies.

The course also addresses export Exchange Control issues around the UCR system.

Indirect exports are in most instances subject to VAT at the standard rate. However, there are opportunities where the vendor may elect to zero-rate the supply of the movable goods, subject to certain requirements being met. Importantly, the requirements for documentary compliance are covered in detail.

We will also look at when the vendor may raise their invoices in foreign currencies and when they may not.

This course is based in part on the hundreds of questions and actual problems 'work-shopped' with past delegates since 1997 and the event is interactive, creating an excellent forum for questions & answers.

The course fees include electronic copies of the presentation material, VAT Interpretation Notes and Guides and the latest Exchange Control Manuals, PLUS a hard-back copy of the 2nd Edition of Trade Questions & Answers. The delegate also receives the latest SA VAT wall chart.

Course costs include lunch and certificates of attendance are issued for this course.

Attend this course plus either of the courses on Incoterms (19th September) or L/Cs for Beneficiaries (21st) and join the Export morning workshop on the 22nd September at no additional cost.

This course is also available as an in-house event;
