This is a compact 7-hour workshop dealing with various aspects of contract formation and the drafting of applicable trans-national contract terms – for the layman.
The day includes a consideration of how to determine at what point specific clauses need to be incorporated into the contract and for what purpose.
The ideal candidate will be a delegate who works in sales, finance or operations as a daily function, but who needs to either contract with the overseas buyer or interpret the overseas buyers’ needs, without necessarily having a legal background.
Contracts are by their very nature and definition very specific instruments and the workshop cannot over every eventuality, however the core requirements of all engagements are covered and the course is designed to serve as a platform for further study.
The course fees include an electronic copy of the presentation material, plus copies of the official text of Incoterms (R) 2010 and a hyper-linked copy of the 5th Edition of Trading Words & Phrases. The delegate also receives the latest Incoterms (R) 2010, Marine Insurance and SA VAT wall charts.
The Public Course costs include lunch and a certificate of attendance.
This course is also available as an in-house event;
