ABOUT THE COURSE
This is a new 7-hour course covering the complexities of SA Exchange Controls and international trade.
The course is ideally suited to various delegates working in finance or accounting, and who may be responsible for the company’s BoP reporting and maintenance of records.
The course addresses
Exports and the UCR system;
Merchanting models;
Direct Importing;
Sales at Sea;
Importing in Bond for onward distribution;
We will study the text of the applicable Manuals and Regulations with emphasis on time-scales, permissible models and models which require approval; either through an Authorised Dealer or directly from the SARB
Risk management and challenges around models involving the Common Monetary Area (Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland and South Africa) will be analysis and unpacked.
This course is based in part on the hundreds of questions and actual problems raised by past delegates since 1997 and the event creates an excellent forum for questions & answers.
The course fees include electronic copies of the presentation material, the Exchange Control Manuals and a hyperlinked version of the 5th Edition of Trading Words & Phrases.
Course costs include lunch and a certificate of attendance.
